Responsibilities
Being a husband and father. Caring for people, communicating Christ's love, teaching, following God's vision for The Well.

Family
Angie is my bride.  We were married in May of 2001.   We have two girls: Ava Joy (born in 2003) and Helen Nina(born in 2006).   My family is one of God's most profound ways of teaching and loving me.

Education
Concordia University Austin (B.A. English, Biblical Languages)
Concordia Seminary St. Louis (Master of Divinity)

What The Well has meant to you
It is evidence to me that God can overcome every social boundary, every human assumption of how His will is done, every bit of confusion and anger about God and faith, and even my own weakness to bring people together in his love. It is a place where people can be honest, do life together, have fun together, grow together, and struggle together.

Quotes
"I came that they may have life and have it abundantly." - Jesus

"A dead thing can go with the stream, but only a living thing can go against it." - G.K. Chesterton

"I'm better than dirt. Well, most kinds of dirt, not that fancy store-bought dirt... I can't compete with that stuff."  - Moe Syzlak

What you enjoy
Family, food, and the beach...and most other outdoor activities.

Where you grew up and what you did as a kid
I grew up in San Antonio, Texas and spent the first 18 years of my life hunting, fishing, playing soccer, riding bikes, and convincing myself that I was going to do these things for the rest of my life.

Hope for The Well
That it would continue to do what it is doing now: communicating the love of Christ to a wildly diverse group of people and seeing lives change in the process.
